Liability Brewing Company Wins Back-to-Back Gold at World Beer Cup

April 22, 2026  | Liability Brewing Company

GREENVILLE, SC, 4/22/2026 – Liability Brewing Company has earned back-to-back Gold Medals at the 2026 World Beer Cup, widely regarded as the most prestigious beer competition in the world.

Presented on April 22, 2026, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, the World Beer Cup recognized winners from 8,166 entries spanning 114 style categories, submitted by 1,644 breweries across 50 countries. Often called the “Olympics of Beer,” the competition is organized by the Brewers Association and judged by 255 international experts.

Liability Brewing Company was awarded Gold in the Belgian-Style Blonde Ale category for Feral Garden Gnome, marking the second consecutive World Beer Cup Gold for the beer.

Feral Garden Gnome is known for its expressive yeast character and layered complexity, featuring notes of banana bread, clove, and Anjou pear, balanced by clover honey, plantain, and white pepper. Brewed with 100% Prairie Select malt, Lallemand Abbaye yeast, and Sterling hops from Crosby Hops, it has been a mainstay of the brewery’s lineup since 2019.

This latest honor cements Feral Garden Gnome as Liability Brewing Company’s most decorated beer, with accolades that include:

“I don’t think I can fully put into words what it means to win back-to-back Gold medals at the World Beer Cup,” said Kathy Horner, General Manager of Liability Brewing Company. “This is one of the most competitive stages in the world, and to earn Gold twice really speaks to the consistency, care, and talent of our brewing team. We couldn’t be more proud.”

“Winning Gold at the World Beer Cup for the second year in a row is an incredible honor, especially for a beer like Feral Garden Gnome that is so near and dear to our team. As an American brewery, being recognized on a global stage in a traditional Belgian category is a surreal and deeply rewarding experience,” said Jared Tuttle, Head Brewer of Liability Brewing Company. “We have always had a passion for brewing Belgian styles, and seeing them so widely accepted by both our peers and our local community is the ultimate motivation. At Liability, we strive for clean, consistent quality in every pour, and receiving this validation from such a knowledgeable and prestigious competition is a testament to the hard work our entire team puts in every day,”
